TWO COMPANIES. ONE VISION.
The Big Sandy Lithium Project is a project owned by Arizona Lithium (AZL) to explore and potentially produce high grade lithium in Wikieup, Arizona. AZL has hired Navajo Transitional Energy Company (NTEC) to lead permitting and development on the project, which could be a significant domestic producer of lithium, a critical component of a clean and renewable energy future benefiting communities throughout Arizona and the U.S.
The Big Sandy Project will take place on public land, with guidance and oversight from the Bureau of Land Management (BLM). All federal and local laws will be strictly enforced.
Big Sandy will be different from any other lithium mine in North America. Using state-of-the-art technologies, Big Sandy will dramatically reduce land disturbance and water usage, compared to other mining methods. Through shallow surface mining, continuous reclamation, and new mineral extraction processes, Big Sandy promises to produce much-needed lithium for clean energy technologies while minimizing impact to the environment. We look forward to working with all stakeholders to make this a positive and beneficial project for the entire community.
